Italy: Boboli Gardens

On Sunday we had a free day with no trips planned and I hadn’t yet started class so I took a walk down to the Boboli Gardens which is on our side of the Arno River (and which we get into for free).  It was gorgeous, peaceful, and sunny — the perfect place for a walk, and one of the only places in Florence where you can see trees (we didn’t notice until we’d been here for a few days but it is really all buildings here, no trees or grass anywhere)!

This statue made my think of my dog — and dogs are everywhere in Florence, not just in statue form either.
